What are the requirements to rent a car at MDZ Rent a Car?

You only need:

• A valid driver’s license and ID or passport.

• A credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Naranja, or another card) in your name or in the name of one of your companions, for the security deposit.

• Guarantee: you must be, or have, a guarantor who signs the contract. This can be yourself, a friend, or a family member.

What happens if I make a reservation and later cannot attend?

Don’t worry, you can keep 100% of the amount paid as credit, which can be used for a future reservation.

How is the rental day calculated?

A rental day equals 24 hours starting from the vehicle pickup time indicated in the reservation.

Our business hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Outside these hours, pickup or return can be arranged for an additional fee.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay in cash, foreign currency (at the blue exchange rate), national or international bank transfer, Mercado Pago, credit or debit cards, and cryptocurrencies.

Ask about other digital wallets: we aim to make payment as easy and convenient as possible for you.

Do you offer vehicle delivery and return services?

Yes! We can deliver the car wherever you prefer and also pick it up at the location of your choice, adapting to your schedule and needs.

This service has additional charges depending on distance or time.

Can I travel outside Mendoza with the car?

Of course! You can rent a vehicle to travel outside Mendoza and even outside the country.

We only need you to inform us of your itinerary in advance so we can authorize the trip or issue the necessary documentation.

What type of insurance do you offer? Can I upgrade it?

All our vehicles include full insurance coverage, the most comprehensive option.

Additionally, you can upgrade the coverage with an extra fee of ARS 20,000 per day, reducing the security deposit from ARS 600,000 to ARS 400,000.

This upgrade is optional but provides greater peace of mind during your rental.

Can I add additional drivers to the contract?

Yes! You can add as many additional drivers as you need at no extra cost and with no limit.

(Most rental agencies charge extra for this, but at MDZ it’s included.)

What is the fuel policy?

Fuel is the customer’s responsibility.

We deliver the vehicle with a specific fuel level, and it must be returned with the same amount.

What should I check before picking up the car?

At pickup, we review the vehicle together: interior, exterior, dashboard, mileage, and fuel level (it must be returned with the same level).

You may take photos or record videos during the process, but they are only valid if taken in the presence of our staff.

What happens if the vehicle receives a fine during the rental?

If the violation is the driver’s responsibility (for example: speeding, illegal parking, etc.), the payment is the renter’s responsibility.

If the issue is due to an error on our part (for example: missing fire extinguisher, documentation, or valid insurance), we will take responsibility.

What happens if I forget something inside the vehicle?

If we find a forgotten item, we will notify you and store it for 30 days so you can pick it up or send someone to retrieve it.

We do not offer shipping or delivery services.

Do you rent cars for Uber or other ride-hailing apps?

Yes! You can rent a car to work with Uber or other ride-hailing apps.

You only need to meet the same requirements as any other customer and be registered on the app you plan to use.
