What are the requirements to rent a car at MDZ Rent a Car?
You only need: • A valid driver’s license and ID or identification document. • A credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Naranja, or another) in your name or that of one of your companions, for the guarantee. • Guarantee: you must be or have a guarantor who signs the contract. It can be you, a friend, or a family member.
How is the rental day calculated?
One rental day equals 24 hours from the vehicle pickup time indicated in the reservation. Our office hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Outside these hours, special arrangements can be made for an additional cost.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay in cash, foreign currency (at the blue exchange rate), national or international bank transfer, Mercado Pago, credit or debit cards, and cryptocurrencies. Ask about other digital wallets — we aim to make payment as easy and convenient as possible for you.
Do you offer car delivery and return service?
Yes! We can deliver the car wherever you prefer and also pick it up at your chosen location, adapting to your schedule and needs. This service has additional charges depending on distance or time.
Can I travel outside Mendoza with the car?
Of course! You can rent a vehicle to travel outside Mendoza and even outside the country. We just need you to inform us of your itinerary in advance so we can authorize the trip or issue the necessary documentation. This service has additional fees — contact us for details.
What kind of insurance do you offer? Can I upgrade it?
All our cars come with full coverage, the most comprehensive option. Additionally, you can upgrade the coverage for an extra $20,000 per day, which reduces the guarantee (deposit) from $600,000 to $400,000. This upgrade is optional but gives you greater peace of mind during your rental.
Can I add additional drivers to the contract?
Yes! You can add as many additional drivers as you need, at no extra cost and with no limit. (Most rental companies charge extra for this, but at MDZ it’s included).
What is the fuel policy?
Fuel is the client’s responsibility. We deliver the vehicle with a certain fuel level, and it must be returned with the same amount.
What should I check before picking up the car?
During delivery, we review the vehicle together: interior, exterior, dashboard, mileage, and fuel level (which must be returned the same). You can take photos or videos of the process, but they’re only valid if done in front of our staff.
What happens if the vehicle receives a fine during the rental?
If the fine is due to the driver’s responsibility (e.g., speeding, illegal parking, etc.), payment is the renter’s responsibility. If the issue is our fault (e.g., missing fire extinguisher, outdated documentation, or insurance), we cover it.
What if I forget something inside the vehicle?
If we find a forgotten item, we’ll notify you and store it for 30 days so you can pick it up or send someone. We don’t offer shipping or postal delivery.
Do you rent cars for Uber or other ride-sharing apps?
Yes! You can rent a car to work for Uber or other transport apps. You just need to meet the same requirements as any other client and be registered in the app you plan to use.
